The NEWROAD Consortium participated in the “Landscaping data-driven projects and initiatives in cancer” Workshop series organized by the European Commission. Spanning three sessions held on October 26th, November 15th, and December 5th, 2023, these workshops provided a platform for comprehensive discussions and collaborations within the cancer research community. Through active engagement, the participants contributed to mapping out existing initiatives and priorities outlined by the EC, while also delving into pertinent topics requiring further coordination and support. By fostering dialogue and consensus-building, the workshops culminated in the identification of key areas necessitating enhanced collaboration and targeted EU support. This participatory endeavor yielded invaluable insights, paving the way for future concerted efforts in advancing cancer data-driven research and initiatives.
