1. POROS Island
Poros is one of the 4 Saronic Gulf islands, roughly 30 miles off the coast of Athens.

2.TRANSPORTATION (from port of Piraeus to POROS)
POROS is well connected with Athens via fast Catamarans (take about 1 hour and cost €36 per person one way trip ) and normal Ferries (take about 2.35 -> 3 hours and cost €17 per person one way trip ).
Here is how/where you can book your tickets:
CATAMARANS
Company: Hellenic Seaways (has many sailings per day)
Company: ALPHA LINES (has 1-2 sailings per day)
You board the Catamarans (of both these companies from Piraeus Port Gate E5/E6.
If you haven’t got already your ticket/boarding pass you get these from ticket booths just opposite from where the catamarans are berthed at Gate 6. Here is what these booths look like:
NORMAL FERRY
Saronic Ferries (has 1 sailing per day usually around 10:30am in the summer)

3. ACCOMMODATION
There are many hotels/AIRBNB etc on Poros and the Poros island web site has a few suggestions:

Most every place is within walking distance of every other place, as Poros is a small island. Manessi Hotel and Saron Hotel are in the port (but not many rooms available) and a 10 min walk from our meeting venue but there are plenty more slightly outside the port (15-20 min walk or 3 mins by taxi and about 5€ cost) e.g New Aegli Hotel, Golden View Hotel, Xenia Poros Image Hotel etc.
4. MEETING VENUE
Our Meeting will be held at the KATHETI Culture and Education Centre which is in the town of Poros. Here is what it looks like from the outside.
5. AIRPORT TO PIRAEUS PORT
These are connected by train (1hr €9), bus (1.5 hr €6) and taxi (45 mins ˜€50)
