The NEWROAD Consortium is proud to announce its active participation in the organization of the upcoming National Dissemination Event for Italy, in collaboration with the REPO4EU project. This important event, scheduled for Tuesday, 24th September from 15:00 to 17:30, is funded by the Horizon Europe Programme and will focus on Systems Medicine, AI, and Drug Repurposing.

The event, which will be held both online and on-site at Policlinico Umberto I in Rome, aims to bring together key Italian stakeholders involved in precision disease definition, diagnosis, and drug repurposing. One of the critical topics of discussion will be the reimbursement framework, an essential element for ensuring market entry and maximizing patient benefits from these advanced medical approaches.

Stefano Piotto, CEO of SoftMining and a member of the NEWROAD Consortium, will deliver a presentation titled “Integrating AI and Network Pharmacology for Efficient Drug Repurposing.” His talk will highlight the innovative approaches being developed to accelerate the drug repurposing process, ultimately leading to faster and more effective treatments for patients.
